Plugins /-/ Avatar WebCam Version 1.0

Use your digital camera to take photos to be used as your avatar. This plugin can be used to snap photos using most any digital camera! For types not supported by the script as it is, you will need to modify the script. Please email me if you have modified the script for your camera and I will include the modification in the next release. The application currently supports the following camera types (using external programs).

• Olympus Cameras - Requires PhotoPC software written by Eugene G. Crosser. It also requires the ImageMagick conversion tool (convert).
• Connectix Color QuickCam - Requires cqcam software written by Patrick Reynolds. It also requires the ImageMagick conversion tool (convert).
• Screen Grab - Requires the ImageMagick conversion tool (import). It also requires the ImageMagick conversion tool (convert).

Download [zip] [tar.gz] the WebCam plugin and unzip this into your personal OpenVerse plugins dir. This will be ~/.OpenVerse/plugins. When you restart the OpenVerse, you will see a camera button in the tool bar.
